Two problems:
• Since upgrading, I've had lots of problems with the OS working properly, actually too many to mention. I really like the improvements, but am stumped on how to proceed. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
• I am interested in rooting this phone. Has anyone developed a root for it? (Boost Mobile phone)

1st thing I recommend to do a FACTORY RESET

it's quite useful and essential after updating
it will fix most of your bugs

2nd
to do root
you don't need a root kit because its so easy to root moto g
just unlock bootloader
flash twrp
then flash SuperSU

that's it
