This type of shopping list app is not appealing because it is too "primitive". People these days, not just want a shopping list, but want to know which store has the best price. If your Shopping List App can tell the user which stores has the product and their prices, the user can then add that particular product for that store to the list. So if the user wants to buy Colgate toothpaste, he search for Colgate toothpaste in the app, the app will show that Walmart, Target, etc has Colgate toothpaste 140ml for a certain price, etc. There are such apps available now.
