My friend reported a new Messenger phone number, but I have no idea where to enter it.

Sorry, I really do not know the details. My friend calls me on facebook and so far I have just answered. Now i was now told (in facebook messenger text message) that he would be the next couple of week in a new number (given). I have so far just answered the calls. Have not inserted any numbers myself.

You can log into that facebook and then go to Settings >> Privacy Settings >> Mobile and enter your phone number. Then a PIN will be sent to the phone number you just added. Please enter the Facebook request and you will successfully add your phone number to Facebook. Good luck!!

Won't it not be a Facebook Messenger phone number? Say for WhatsApp?
