Hi all.
I have just bought a new Samsung J7.
I had read about this Whatsapp thing, and it is " Supposed to be free "

Yet after downloading the app, earlier today, the first part of the registration process, was :
Add a Card or PayPal.
I tried using PP, but my PP is connected to a different email account than the phone.
So Whatsapp wouldnt finish & I had to start again using a card.

Looking to get some info on why whatsapp needed a card added, for a supposed "Free " App, the only place that mentioned a Whatsapp forum, was here.....

So I registered , and now, I cannot find the aforementioned Whatsapp forum ?

Any explanation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Jan, welcome to AndroidPIT! :)

You can find the WhatsApp Forum here:
https://www.nextpit.com/forum/whatsapp/recent

And yes, WhatsApp is completely free of charge nowadays, are you sure that the WhatsApp App was asking for your info? I would assume that it was actually Google while registering a Google Account for the Play Store. Whenever you log in or you register a new Google Account, Google will ask for that info but you don't have to enter it. You can simply skip it.
