How do you remove a Floating widget from a Music player App that has been deleted from the device already?

Hello, My boyfriend has this floating app stuck on his home screen from a music player app called FreeMusic from google play. { Icon is a reddish color with a white music note} He deleted the app but the floating widget is still on his home screen and your not able to do anything except move it around on the screen. And the app keeps showing a draw over other apps message which I unchecked but does nothing. Does anyone know how to remove this widget from the device. Thanks.
