My Own GPS app

Hi,

     I want to make a application which should be something like Google Maps, where will be map,  user would have ability to zoom or get further from map, he can also find himself with GPS on this map. 

     I want to mark a permamently places on my map, some specify in my opinion shops, with my own desciption and short info.

     To be honest my android experience is NULL. I'm programinng in my school, i was programing in Java school project, half year ago. 

     So guys please tell me about what i should read to make my idea happen
