Notification Crash.

Question

Hi All.

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. My Tab A notifications crash as soon as i go into it. I cant change my sound as it crashes. It's been like this since the update before the most recent update. The most recent update didn't fix it either. Am i the only 1? Any ideas how to fix it?

Did you check the settings on your notifications ?
That first update could have changed them!

Hi Lindsay.
Thanks for your reply. I've looked at everything. It's just frustrating cause im stuck with the one notification sound lol. As soon as i try to change it it crashes back to my main screen. They haven't done a new update since November 2018. So im keeping my fingers crossed for a new update and hopefully a fix.😃

Are these software updates?
If so, what is the make and model of your tablet?
And can you tell me the software version of the update that started the problems?

Yes they were software updates.
Samsung galaxy tab A 10.1
Model is SM-T580

Sorry all i know is it happened with the last update before the most recent one on November 2018.Which is
ASKS v1.4.5 is the most recent update i have.

Just been reading about your tab on the internet. Lots of people complaining about Samsung neglecting thier tabs as far as the updates!
In otherwords, if you are waiting for the next update.... You could have a long wait!
You might get this problem resolved faster if you call Samsung customer support And tell them about this issue.
They have a very good tech. Dept.
And should be able to fix this glitch.

Samsung customer support. 
1 800 726 7864
You will want to call them from a different device. They will probably run a trouble shooting program on your tab, and you can't be using it when they do!
Sorry I couldn't give you a solution myself.

So how is your Tab now? Is it stuck in black screen or something like that? You can search some broken Android Data Extraction to get the data back firstly and then get it to repair.

Still the same. No not stuck on a black screen. It works fine im using it now to post this. It's just i can not change my notification sounds. As soon as i try to its crashes back to my main screen.
