SIM card slot 1 losing signal

Hello, my smartphone is Xiaomi Redmi 4X and is a little over 2 years old. My SIM card slot 1 is losing signal completely and it then regains the signal. This happens very often, no matter which SIM card I insert. I even ordered a new SIM card with the same phone number, that didn't help. I cannot determine whether this is a hardware or a software problem, as the card regains the lost signal. I usually have to wait for a minute when this happens.

You may try this, take out your sim from the phone and rubbing the copper plate with Jeans fabric or any pencil eraser then check.
If you still having the problem then you should contact a service center. It's a hardware problem.
