We've been at IFA this year since day one, bringing you news of all the most interesting announcements and getting hands-on with the coolest new gadgets. Now that the Berlin tech fair is starting to wind down, we want to know which brand impressed you most.
Some brands really outdid themselves this year, while others seemed to be on the sidelines. Regardless, IFA was packed with announcements. Perhaps the most exciting smartphone at IFA was the Xperia XZ3, which represents a real step forward for Sony Mobile. Although the highly anticipated Mate 20 Pro was not shown, the date of its big unveiling was revealed, and Huawei showed off the Mate 20 Lite and the new Kirin 980 SoC and AI Cube. Honor unveiled the new Honor Play in Berlin at IFA after its official release in Asia. ZTE presented its latest flagship, the ZTE Axon 9 Pro. We also got a chance to play with the new Asus ROG phone for hardcore gamers and it didn't disappoint. A few brands brought scaled-back versions of their existing smartphones, including the LG G7 One, LG G7 Fit, the HTC U12 Life and the BlackBerry Key2 LE.
There was plenty of non-smartphone news, as well. Acer brought their 'A' game to this year's IFA, with a focus on VR, gaming and the world's lightest laptops, along with the Pixelbook-killing Chromebook 514. In the audio department, Marshall expanded its range of Bluetooth speakers at IFA by introducing the Kilburn II, while Sonos unveiled a new Amp and teased the concept of hidden in-wall speakers. Samsung didn't really bring the goods in the smartphone department, but it did introduce a QLED 8K TV with 8K AI upscaling technology. Plus, countless smaller brands showed off their AR, wearable and smart home devices.
In this week's poll, we want your opinion on which brand had the most exciting announcements, so let us know in the poll and comments below!
