What Android smartphone do you think is the best rival to the iPhone 8?

If there's one event you won't want to miss, it's the launch of the iPhone 8. This device will mark the 10th anniservary of the launch of iPhone so Apple might just hold a few surprises in store. This smartphone will undoubtedly be an eagerly anticipated headline, and we can expect that everyone will be comparing it to Android and its devices. Do you think it'll be better than the current Android phones we've seen so far this year?

As Apple prepares its response to all the Android smartphones this year, such LG, Samsung, Huawei and even Sony's flagships, it's been fine-tuning the last details of its new smartphones.

To celebrate the iPhone's 10th birthday, we would be disappointed if Apple didn't reveal some significant changes on its new device. For the first time ever, Apple may launch not two but three devices on the market. A high-end iPhone 8 model could thus be accompanied by two improved versions of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

The iPhone 8 (or iPhone Edition or iPhone X) is certainly the device that will attract the most attention. This iPhone has to be able to compete against the most recent Android flagships, which are for the most part already excellent phones. Instinctively, when you first encounter the imminent iPhone 8, you'll inevitably compare it to the Android world's star device: the Samsung Galaxy S8! Nonetheless, the competition isn't just against Samsung, far from it.

That's why this week, we're asking you which phone you think stands the best chance against the iPhone 8. Here is a list of the best smartphones of 2017 - now it's up to you to vote and decide which phone you think will be the best rival against the iPhone 8.

  • Pity that some purchase phones just because it is popular. There are phones out there that are more favourable alternatives to the known names. I have used phones that others shun and made great success of them. For instance I started with OnePlus One over 4 years ago and it refused to die or get its screen cracked. ASUS Zenfone two is another I can't do without now. It is the easiest to use without opening it if you use compatible flip case. You can control it, read your texts or mails and do your personal setting, all without opening the flip case. If any of the popular phones has this features, then they have nicked them from ASUS phones. It had dropped several times without cracking the screen or malfunctioning.

  • all are the best rivals, just because i do not consider buying an iphone, so even a 49usd android phone is still the one i would go for...

It does not matter weather it is a good phone or not. There is a large amount of people that will but it just because it is Apple.

    • Why? Because they are sure that they will get a reliable phone.

      • I couldn't agree more... I use both operating system I had s7 edge, now s8 plus while i had iphone 6s plus and now 7 plus. Iphone is less problematic. Samsung tweaks almost eveyrthing all the time, I close my eyes and find whatever in iphones. I love Android too dont get me wrong but android is high maintenance.

  • The Pixel 2, for the similar clean software experience and support, and because it's the only one on the list that will receive timely updates, unfettered by the OEM or carriers, making it the most comparable to an iOS device.

    • yea I voted Pixel 2..
also there's a really good chance of Google actually producing a physical design that's at least as good as Apple

The iPhone X won't be competing with any of these flagship phones as the 7S and 7S plus will be the iPhones designed to compete with this current crop of Android phones with nougat. The iPhone X will be Apples attempt to leap frog its iPhones by one generation by essentially releasing their 2018 iPhone in 2017. My interest in the iPhone X is in what type of improvements will be made to both their A series SoC and their new neural engine chip.

  • I thing the coolest way is to purchase the iPhone 8 and compare it with the Android phone which you think is the best rival. If you prefer using iPhone 8 longer time than the Android phone, then the iPhone 8 wins.

  • Stop people worrying about what Apple as to offer, rumours saying it's going to be a very expensive phone from Apple,so we will be getting loads of iPhones users finally getting feed up with Apple and there pricing policy, with Samsung m aking the screens for Apple they will be releasing another premium phone for sure,Pixel 2 or LG V30 or Huawei and Nokia phones will be on the way, just seen on phonearena.com that the iPhone 8 might get delayed till 2018

  • Sony Xperia XZ Premium!

  • Everyone of them
