I have a T-Mobile SIM card and I'm wondering it will work on an unlocked Galaxy S2 that's available on Amazon. If not, would a boost mobile prepaid SIM card work? I live in the US.

Hi Marvin,

if the phone is unlocked, every sim should work with it.

Your SIm will work on SGS2 but will only work at EDGE. the Tmob spectrum is diff than anyone else in the US and hence you will NOT get 3G speeds on TMOB on an international phone. it has nothing to do with your phone or the MOD it's just tmob.
If you put in an AT&T Sim in it you will have 4G speeds.

thats your only bet.
Aug 29th Att, Verizon and Sprint are releasing the phone . Tmob only has it coming 29 oct 2011.
I will be selling my phone to someone on AtnT and probably have to buy a verizon or spring phone!

I get 3g speeds on my unlocked/unbranded Nokia N8 with a T-Mobile sim, Are you sure about not getting 3G with an unlocked Galaxy? I was thinking of changing over to 1 but if it is limited to Edge then there's no point for me.

Thanks

@Glen...

Now that the major carriers are all offering the phone, would you ever buy it on contract? It'd definitely be a lot cheaper in the short run.

@Steven, There are a lot of reasons I write here to explain but the bottom line is no. I need an unbranded unlocked phone.

I really like my Nokia and wish they would come out with a phone that uses it. I would prefer that to Samsung or HTC

Cheers

Glen
