Droid 2 R2-D2 Edition Spotted, Coming September 30th
From looking at the photos, it appears that the whole case of the phone will be white, not just the backing. In addition, the buttons on the side will be blue. As for the keyboard, I am making a guess here, but I wouldn't be surprised if Motorola followed up the theme with white keys, a blue keyboard background, and white letters. Or a vice versa of the color scheme, with a while background, blue keys, and white lettering. Either way, it looks to be a Star Wars fans smartphone fantasy.

MobileCrunch notes that there is "one detail not mentioned: price. Special Edition handsets tend to cost a bit more (hey, they are special, after all), so it presumably won’t go for the same $199 (on a 2-year contract) price." Engadget seems unfazed however, arguing that "hey -- Artoo's worth it, right?"
MobileCrunch asks if there "is anyone else sort of disappointed by the design? Though blue, white, and boxy, it doesn’t really look very R2-ish."
