We saw videos and heard about the Google TV back at Google CEO Eric Schmidt's keynote back at IFA Berlin, but this is the first time that the device will be open for members of the press to see and photograph, as well as for demonstrations.
We have no solid details yet on what kind of hardware will be in the television, but those details should be available once the press conference is over.
AndroidandMe adds that "Sony is also expected to show off a Blu-ray player with integrated Google TV services."
CNET writes that the rumored Sony device "will compete with the Google TV-powered Logitech Revue set-top box, which is also scheduled to be released this fall."
