It must have nose-dived right under our radars but apparently the leaked Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware for AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S4 was accompanied by one for the Galaxy Note 3, firmware number N900AUCECMLG.
With Note 3 owners still waiting for the OTA update, there have already been a few leaked versions sprouting out of the cracks of the internet. This new one, which was built on January 4th is all ready to go and includes most of the features one would expect from the 4.4.2 KitKat update. Apparently this one does come with a little hiccup though, so here’s a fair warning: the leaked software also includes new bootloaders which could mean that if you do upgrade you may not be able to get back down to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean if you do decide to give it a whirl.
As always be careful when flashing new firmware on your device and make sure to backup all of your data just in case your phone gets formatted and wipes all of your files. The new firmware can be found from the XDA developers website where they give you a clear rundown.
Here's a breakdown of the Android 4.4.2 features to expect.
