HELP Will not boot properly

New to any android system (have 4.03) and not sure where this should be posted. I have a new (1 week) chinese U9gt2 tablet that was working fine and I was learning how to use. Then suddenly it no longer completely loads. It does the following:

device shows little green android man then
device shows android ice cream sandwich then goes no further

NOTE: I have done nothing irregular ie as attempt to root, etc.

Think what I'm looking for is something similar to windows reboot in safemode or emergency reboot

Sounds like you are in the reboot cycle mode. Did you clear cache after Root ??

If not boot to Dev mode and go to advanced and clear cache and Dalvik cache this should help

I did not root

Can you provide a link to the device that your referring to, as Im not that familiar with it?

Do you know how to get to stock recovery mode in your device? A factory reset might be the best thing to try in this case, although you will lose your data.
