DescriptionAccidents can happen anytime, anywhere. Life-threatening situations can suddenly affect you or someone you love, so make sure you are protected 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by registering as a member with iMEDI24 and downloading our iMEDI24 application for your device. At iMEDI24, our goal is to help you in case of medical emergency and make sure that emergency services receive your vital medical information along with your current location so they are best placed to assist you quickly. Sometimes a few minutes can be the difference between life and death so make sure you have the best chance possible. REMEMBER: You must REGISTER as a member in order to use the iMEDI24 emergency service.
Upon pressing the ‘Emergency button’, the following procedures will happen:
•Your Smartphone will automatically call emergency services in the country you are currently in
•An SMS message containing your current location will appear on screen
•Designated Next-of-Kin will be notified of both your current location and the emergency situation via SMS
•Your critical medical information will be sent to the Operation Control Centre at iMEDI24 along with your current location. Operators will further transmitted to the emergency services. (This feature currently only applies to Norway)
•A text message is sent to your mobile and alert screen will be displayed. On reaching the scene, emergency services can view the device where medical info will be shown in the local language
•Currently available languages for critical medical information are listed under FAQ on www.imedi24.com
REPORT ACCIDENT BUTTON
Upon pressing the ‘Report Accident’ button, the following procedures will happen:
•Your Smartphone will automatically call emergency services number in the country you are currently located in
•An SMS message containing your current location will appear on screen to assist emergency services.
•Enables you to find the nearest pharmacy or hospital, based on your location. This feature is available only in certain countries. See point 28 on https://www.imedi24.com/imediweb/faq_en.html
DASHBOARD allows access to several functions such as:
EMERGENCY TEST BUTTON
•Allows user to test the emergency functions of the app to prepare him/her for a real emergency situation. (For the test purpose, will not be called the real emergency number).
•This function is especially useful for users that don’t have signal on the mobile, and needs to call, from a landline, any of those emergency services: police, ambulance or fire department.
GIVE ACCESS TO A DOCTOR
•Enables you to provide once-only access for a third person if necessary (i.e. doctor etc.)
In dashboard you will also find other useful functions such as: critical medical information, personal details, relatives’ details and more, where the information can be edited and stored securely.
WEB FUCTIONS-iMEDI24 WEB PORTAL
Our web portal gives you access to several functions such as: your health journal, your relatives’ health journals, personal details, relatives’ details, medical news, travel health information etc., both on mobile and web browser. Personal Information can be edited or updated at any time. All personal information is held securely and is not shared with anyone except the emergency services when necessary.
IMEDI24 CONTROL CENTRE (CURRENTLY APPLIES ONLY IN NORWAY)
•iMEDI24 operators will ensure that your position (received using hybrid technology) along with your submitted critical medical information is sent to the appropriate emergency medical services when necessary.iMEDI24 staff are always available to help in case of emergency, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
