Each 3D knot has detailed information including tying pointers, strength and reliability, structural info, and Ashley reference numbers (ABoK) and occasionally the history behind the knot. Knots are listed with their common synonyms or localized equivalents. Knot names for Dutch, French, German, Italian, Korean, and Russian are shown.
The knots are arranged by both Category (Boating, Climbing, Fishing, Scouting, etc) and Type (Bend, Loop, Stopper, etc). If you find a knot you like or want to come back to later, add it to your Favorites list for quick reference.

Great app! Love it! Would really like to see some decorative knots and marlinspike, but they can get complicated. Well worth the $$!!

Ship's Boatswain USN RET. THIS IS THE BEST, ESIEST, WAY TO LEARN TYING KNOTS WITHOUT A PERSON BEING AT YOUR SIDE, TEACHING YOU. TAKE IT FROM A RETIRED SHIP'S BOATSWAIN. I HAVE TRAINED HUNDREDS OF SAILORS HOW TO TIE KNOTS AND MOST ANYTHING THAT INVOLVES WORKING WITH LINE, WIRE ROPE, CABLE, WEBBING, ETC. OVER THE YEARS. BOOKS, WHICH ARE HELPFUL, DO NOT SHOW YOU HOW TO TIE KNOTS. DIAGRAMS CAN BE VERY CONFUSING. THIS APP IS EXTREMELY EASY TO FOLLOW, FLOWING ALONG, PAUSE, START TO FINISH.TIE & UNTIE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APP!
