A brief discussion of some of the permissions Orange Squeeze requires:
The permission "READ PHONE STATUS AND IDENTITY" is used strictly to detect when calls are made or received so that automatic player muting will work.
The permission "MODIFY OR DELETE THE CONTENTS OF YOUR USB STORAGE MODIFY OR DELETE THE CONTENTS OF YOUR SD CARD" allows the app to download tracks to your external storage and also place the application's artwork cache on the external storage.
The permission "FULL NETWORK ACCESS" allows the app to connect to either mysqueezebox.com or your local Logitech Media Server installation.
This release is optimized for phone and mid-size tablet devices like the Nexus 7. It will work great on a larger tablet like the Samsung GalaxyTab 10.1 and the beautiful new Nexus 10, but it has not been optimized for them.
Tested in-house on the original Google Nexus One, Galaxy Nexus, and Nexus 7. Supported on all Android devices running 2.1 and higher.
Note that artwork in the screenshots has been intentionally pixelated. Your artwork will show up crystal-clear!

Too slow Very sluggish in browsing Spotify play lists. Had to resort to another app.

Very good I've come from iOS and iPeng and really miss that app. I've been using squeezecommander for the past few weeks, which tries very hard to look like iPeng but doesn't pull it off, it looks ugly and undeveloped. Just installed this app and instantly it's a lot better. Almost perfect I'd say, sync is a second out which is annoying but I assume this isn't the apps fault rather the server? Looks nice, layout is sensible and works. Will update this to 5 stars after a few days if it continues to impress!

Best squeezebox controller Been using this to control 5 squeezeboxes throughout the house since the first releases. Was really good then - by today has become absolutely excellent. I can not find any (!) Issues at all, all functions and features for daily use are there, very easy to use and highly responsive. If you use squeezeboxes, you must get this app - worth every penny and more!

The new reference for Squeezebox management Replaced Squeeze Commander for me as well. Still some small bugs to iron out but already better (and faster!) than any other Squeezebox App.

Fast and beautiful This app has replaced Squeeze Commander for me. It has a beautiful Android look and feel and is way more responsive on my device.

Alarm setting? I've been a long time squeeze commander user. Really liking this app, looks a lot nicer and the interface is a lot cleaner. Would really like to be able to set my alarms from Orange Squeeze though.

Love it The app you need to control your squeezebox with. Much much better then logitechs.
