This app was developed as an entry to the CIO/G6 "Apps for the Army" competition, and is based on the modules publicly available online from the U.S. Defense Language Institute.

Only problem is the odd romanisation The app works flawlessly. Although there are many military phrases that aren't for everyday use the sentence patterns are useful. There are many romanisations available for Cantonese with Yale the most predominant - why the FSI chose to create their own is a mystery. It isn't even consistently used for particular sounds.
