Description
Emulator for the popular 80's home computer C64. Can be controller via touchscreen, trackball and/or keyboard. Offers an on-screen keyboard for text input. Comes with some Public Domain games, f.e. Elite, Kickstart oder Attack of the Mutant Camels, ready to play! Other games can be added to the SD card and played from there. The emulator is not the fastest, so that a fast CPU is recommended for running it smoothly.
Full version with more features (e.g. saving emulator state) available. Features of the full version can be unlocked via ads. Permissions required to display these ads and also to be able to save changes to .d64 files to sd card.

Weird. Clunky menu. Annoying to have to unpause manually all the time. Takes forever to scan for games/images in menu. None of the games I tried worked. (Giana, Krakout) Reply: My problem is with the lack of auto-UNpausing. Not the actual pausing. Can't it just unpause automatically after choosing a menu item/game or resuming app? About clunkiness: Despite the menu being big enough to fit on screen, some of it (and actually some of keyboard too) is outside screen so I have to scroll the menu to get to Exit. I think "Attach disk.." should open some window more suitable for many games and that it should display to user that it's autosearching for images. I found out by accident that it does that and it actually takes 35 seconds for the games to appear here. Everytime! Add an option to add a path manually and make program keep old paths with games/images for use by the emulator next time until scanning is finished - so user sees their games dir (which probably hasn't changed) right away. I think that "Attach ... image" is unintuitive and not as obvious as Load/Open (except to c64/comp pros).

Total junk Why can't I load c64 images already have on my tablet? I can only find the option to load from the web or use the built in files. What's with the four fake drives?Wouldn't it be simpler to just allow the user to access the devices file system to select images as is done in Frodo?I tried out the free version and I would have purchased the full version, but this thing is a complete load of rubbish.

C64 on your phone? Yes, please! Truely an awesome experience on one of the best computers of the 1980s. For those who can not afford the new C64X, I will recommend this awesome app. 5 out of 5.

Don't understand I just wanted a "blast from the past" & play my fav game as a kid, Jumpman. I tried to load a game like I used to, eg: load"Jumpman", 8, 1 then press 'run'.... nothing. Couldn't use this app. All these kinds of platforms have instructions written for people who already 'get it'.... not for real Der-heads like me who genuinely want to learn. It's a shame. Thanks all the same. TC, -PT

Best version of Vice on Android Keyboard input good. Joystick good. Plays Sword of Fargoal with save state. Only wish it could stay in background longer like "My Boy! Free" (that parks on notification bar to keep OS from killing it). Requests... Want turbo mode. Hide joystick option has no effect. Want Vic20 version.

DO NOT BUY ON GALAXY S2 The emulator is not functional on Samsumg Galaxy S2. The reason for the 1-star is thay the developer completely ignores support requests.
