Samsung: Android 4.2.2 for Galaxy S2 & Note, Android 5.0 for S3

There has been a recent buzz about Android 4.2.2 updates, which should soon hit certain Samsung smartphones. Galaxy Note, for example, could also be getting this tune-up. An extensive list has emerged with the Samsung candidates expecting to receive Android 5.0.

The information regarding the upcoming updates surfaced on the sammobile website, a source that rarely strays from the truth and is usually quite well informed. That being said, their list is only a ''pre-list'', a tentative one that they acquired from their own insider.

When taking a peek at their list, you see that the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Note will be getting the Android 4.2.2 update, which will be their final software tune-up. Newer Samsung devices like Galaxy S3, S4, Note 2, Note 8.0 and Note 10.1 on the other hand, will be getting Android 5.0.

It hasn't yet been revealed when the next big android version will emerge. However it's certain that Android 5.0 will take a few months to appear, since the Korean manufacturer needs time to update its devices. Details in regards to the next big version might be revealed by Google during the I/O conference.

Don't get your hopes up too soon and remember that the list brought forward by sammobile might be incomplete. It could be a while before we see any changes. Nonetheless, we will keep an eye out for any turn of events.
