It seems that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is all set for an unveiling at New York City this coming March 14, bringing the global fight for market supremacy where the smartphone is concerned to Apple’s home turf, after Samsung was said to have been flooded by requests from U.S. mobile carriers for the South Korean consumer electronics giant to do so.
The smartphone market has seen bitter wars fought between Samsung and Apple, both in the courts of law across different continents, and outside of courts as well in the marketplace, with no one pulling ahead home and clear. The introduction of the Galaxy S4 in the US will certainly breathe new life into the smartphone wars, and this alleged March 14th is said to be special as it marks the first time Samsung's flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone will roll out in the US in three years.
Samsung Mobile division chief J.K. Shin said, “We introduced the Galaxy S III in London last year, and this time we changed the venue (to New York)... as we were bombarded with requests from U.S. mobile carriers to unveil the Galaxy S IV in the country." Is that an underlined jab at Apple, that mobile carriers already prefer Samsung over Apple?
So far, leaked benchmarks as well as rumored specifications of the alleged Samsung Galaxy S4 have appeared, where whispers abound of the Galaxy S4 running on a Full High Definition display, sport a superior camera over its predecessor, in addition to a blazing fast quad-core processor. Are you waiting in anticipation for the Galaxy S4?
