The F.A.C.T.S. convention is organized once a year by Con-Fuse bvba, an organisation promoting Science Fiction, Comics, Fantasy and Japanese animation. Con-Fuse bvba creates a forum for all fans of the “fantastic genre”, giving them an entire weekend during which all of their favourite events are united under one roof. Some 15.000 enjoyed the 2011 edition.F.A.C.T.S. was originally a convention with the emphasis on merchandise, ranging from DVD’s, CD’s, occasionally a videotape, to model kits, action figures (mint on card, lose, vintage, modern, etc.), posters, postcards, books, computer games, comics, manga, magazines, trading cards, card games,… This still constitutes an important part of FACTS, with more than 150 dealers from Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, U.K, Luxemburg, Sweden, U.S.A.,… providing to every diehard collector plenty of opportunities to complete his or her collection.
Since the early beginning F.A.C.T.S. welcomed many comicartists. E.g. renowned artists as Dave Gibbons, Arthur Suydam, Frank Cho… have already attended F.A.C.T.S.
Since the end of the nineties F.A.C.T.S. also invited actors and actrices, with the likes from David Carradine, Don S. Davis, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Christopher Judge, Anthony Daniels, Kristina Loken, Billy Dee Williams, D. Benedict, Dwight Schultz and many, many more.
F.A.C.T.S is not only about merchandise and actors. Many activities are organised during the F.A.C.T.S.-weekend ranging from a big game zone (with the latest releases ànd retro consoles), card game demonstrations, model kit demonstrations, Q & A’s with the actors, swordfights and an extravagant cosplay competition with many costumed visitors.
F.A.C.T.S. guarantees a rollercoaster ride of a weekend !
