Description
Ampwifi turns your Android device into a remote control for the popular Winamp® music player. It allows you to play, pause, fast forward and rewind the current song. You can also view or edit the playlist, browse the media library or search for particular songs or folders.Ampwifi does NOT play music on your Android device. It is strictly a remote control, the music will play on your Windows PC with Winamp®. However Ampwifi now has a Stream to Device feature which can play songs from your PC on to your Android device. (The Streaming feature is limited to one song at a time and requires that your Android device has a music player capable of playing streamed audio such as Google's Play Music app)
For Ampwifi to work you will need Winamp® for Windows along with the AjaxAMP Remote Control Plugin (download from: www.ajaxamp.com). Instructions are included in the app.

No Muss No Fuss Quick n Easy Just got it so not sure of all the details, but with my Stratosphere I can control all the basic winamp start stop next and volume type stuff and I can also scroll through the current playlist and choose which song to start playing just like I double clicked it with my mouse on my pc. This app starts really fast and runs clean and seems rock solid so far. Had a bit of trouble setting up the profile for my PC over my own network, but the solution was really simple and only took a couple of tries before I was up and running in no time. The help files and instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The plugin seems to come from a reliable source and I did not see any threat to the security of my pc when I installed it, and btw I did not have to configure the plugin at all, just the server profile setting in the app itself.

The only *FOLDER BASED* Winamp Remote Control If you're a fan of Winamp on windows platform then probably you're like me and have heaps of MP3 songs organized in folders which necessarily don't have perfectly set ID3 tags. If that's the case then this is Winamp remote control for you! I have tried all of them and even bought Playa but this is the only one that does not rely on Winamp library. Awesome! Thanks developer. Just donated because of the idea and will do more if works without any major issue.
