Description
* Try FREE DEMO on the Play Store first! *Welcome to the future of baby monitoring!
This application will turn your Android phone or tablet into a fully functioning, high quality baby monitor. It uses your home WiFi network to stream video and audio of your baby from the camera on your Android device directly to a web browser on your computer or laptop, or to any other Android device that is attached to your home WiFi network! So you can be sat downstairs watching a film while your baby sleeps upstairs, allowing you to just flick your laptop open to see and hear exactly what your baby is doing. Or you can quickly pull your phone out of your pocket while you are cooking dinner in the kitchen to have a quick peek at what mischief your child is causing in their bedroom.
You’ll be amazed by the high quality video and audio as well as all the features that let you remotely interact with your baby via the web browser, such as playing lullabies on the Android device’s speaker, or switching the Night Light (the camera flash LED) on or off. With advanced motion detection and monitoring features that chart your baby’s every movement, you have the most efficient possible way to ensure your baby is safe from harm while you are not in the room with them.
As you can see, it has all the functionality of the most expensive baby monitors on the market today, but also with added premium features that make this application simply the best way to monitor your baby in this day and age. Why spend a huge wad of cash on an expensive baby monitor with low quality video and audio when for just a tiny fraction of the price you can spend a small handful of change on this application which offers the same and so much more?

FEATURES
1. Monitor you baby by streaming real-time live video and audio from your Android device camera to a web browser or to any other Android device;
2. Very simple to use for everybody - no configuration needed ... it just works!
3. Switch on Motion Detection to get pinpoint accuracy of every movement your baby makes as well as a handy real-time graph that shows the intensity of movements over time.
4. Volume controls and a visual representation of the audio, so you have the option of not listening to the sound but still remain aware of the noises your baby is making;
5. Interact with your baby even though you are not in the room – using buttons on the web browser you can switch the Night Light on and off (if your Android device has a camera flash LED) and you can also play lullabies through the Android device speaker, again just by clicking a button in the web browser;
6. Remotely control the camera! Capture precious moments that you’d otherwise miss by taking high resolution pictures and videos using buttons on the web browser;
7. Requires Java installed on the web browser computer;
8. Advanced settings to tweak performance with a choice of streaming resolutions;
10. Only uses a WiFi network – does NOT support 3G. You can stream across the internet by using Port Forwarding – please contact the developer for help doing this;
11. LOTS more features in development!

If you do have problems using this application on your WiFi network, it is most likely a configuration problem with your router/network. Please contact the developer if you have any questions and he may be able to help you ... but please don't rate low because your network isn't configured properly - that isn't the application’s fault ;)

Still some work to be done [My review concerns both Android applications - Monitor and Receiver] [1. No demo version for Receiver, so there is no way to test functionality on 2 Android devices.] [2. Receiver has an option to work in background while using your Android, but it stopes after a few minutes! I was really pleased with that function, but it's useless. You have to go back to the Receiver application to restore monitoring :(] [3. Receiver misses Monitor's battery status information. Monitor's device missed calls and new messages would also be nice.] [4. No walkie-talkie option to speak from Receiver to Monitor. One-way communcation only.] [5. Motion detection should be used to alarm Monitor (vibrations, sounds, turning device, etc). I don't see any use of that option for right now.] [6. Annoing Monitor information everytime transmission starts, with instructions how to receive picture on "Web Browser" or "Android Device". Should be an option to disable this message.] [Paid for both applications, but I still wait for improvements. Picture and sound quality as well as applications design is very nice, so I see the potential to be the best of that kind in Google Play. Sa far there is no leader.]

Amazing app! Ideal for when you're away from home and don't have your purpose-built monitor with you. Great features on the web browser and good controls on the receiver app (separate purchase, but still good value for the two apps). Works over wifi so much better than the apps that rely on text message or call alerts. Really simple to use. Recommended to any parent of young children.

The best option for a live video and audio monitor Super easy to use, rich in features, inexpensive, and it even has a nice bit of polish on the UI for the web-based receiver. If you're looking to make use of your old phone as an extra monitor with IP functionality, I'd recommend starting your search here.

Excellent Excellent app. Saved me buying a baby monitor. Would have given five stars if a night mode camera option was available and also if the receiver was linked as opposed to buying separately.

Great App at great price It's working great, I use it for monitoring the home entrance while at work. I have some suggestions for improvements: 1. The website doesn't have a FAQ section or a Help for this app. 2. The interface on the remote PC (monitoring the camera) needs some additional buttons ON and OFF. After you push any of the existing buttons (Light, Motion Detector, etc) you don't know the status or if the action was completed. 3. The motion detector button doesn't do much and it seems to turn off by itself after a while. It would be great if you can have the video recorder started (or just capture) when the motion is detected. 4. The capture setting: it would be nice to have automatically captures at custom intervals (5-10-15-20... seconds or minutes).

Great Works like a charm. This is an extremely cheap and effective solution, especially I you have an old android device laying around. I had one small issue with my router settings and that got solved quickly through great developer support.

Fantastic Great as is, does what it says. That said, I would pay for another app if there was a baby soother (ie, heartbeats and white noise) app that I could remotely activate via the babycam.

Very good. But sometimes it's not possible to connect with CamReceiver or browser.
