Welcome to Navfree!
Navfree is a completely free navigation app that offers turn-by-turn directions, spoken and on-screen instructions, offline map use and address search and live search via Google and Microsoft Bing, among many other features.
The maps it uses are available for free download from the Navfree Store. The map data is stored on your device so there is no need for a constant data connection while driving. It also allows you to browse maps anytime, anywhere without paying for data connections, which means no costly roaming charges when abroad.
It uses high-quality, open-source map data from OpenStreetMap that has been created and is continually improved by as many as 400,000 users around the world. If you see a problem, you can help to improve the quality of the maps by signing up to www.openstreetmap.org.

Missing one thing Missing one thing , there is no way that I found to save the map to an micro sd card.

J Never got a chance to use it because the map would never download for my state. Tried it numerous times over a 2 day period...no go.

Info is soooo old I work for a local hospital and the name they call it here hasn't been used for over 20 years and a clinic they list has been closed for at least 5 years. A restaurant that's been in town for at least 5 years isn't even listed. Makes me wonder how much else is wrong and just where do they get their information?

Can't download maps Server is always unavailable with any type of connection, 3g, 4G, WiFi.

Can't use GPS navigation if I don't have any maps. Haven't been able to connect to their servers for over a week.

Sounds great, but can't download any maps It looks like this app would be perfect for my offline navigation needs, with cached maps of states; however, none of the state maps will download because of server problems that have lasted for several days without any response from the app developers on what's going on or how soon we can expect a fix. A real review will be posted if and when they fix this issue.
