Allows application to receive and process SMS messages. Malicious applications may monitor your messages or delete them without showing them to you.

Phone calls
read phone state and identity
Allows the application to access the phone features of the device. An application with this permission can determine the phone number and serial number of this phone, whether a call is active, the number that call is connected to, ect.
modify phone state
Allows the application to control the phone features of the device. An application with this permission can switch networks, turn the phone radio on and off and the like without ever notifying you.
intercept outgoing calls
Allows application to process outgoing calls and change the number to be dialed. Malicious applications may monitor, redirect, or prevent outgoing calls.
Your personal information
read contact data
Allows an application to read all of the contact (address) data stored on your phone. Malicious applications can use this to send your data to other people.
read calendar data
Allows an application to read all of the calendar events stored on your phone. Malicious applications can use this to send your calendar events to other people.
write calendar data
Allows an application to modify the calendar events stored on your phone. Malicious applications can use this to erase or modify your calendar data.

Allows the application to call phone numbers without your intervention. Malicious applications may cause unexpected calls on your phone bill. Note that this does not allow the application to call emergency numbers.

Used PA for aprox 6mos It suits my needs for basic email and sms alerts. I use this for oncall paging and need a constant notification every 30 secs for a specific email address. App does this but forces all other alerts to pester you at the same interval. Every 30 seconds in my case. It would be nice to be able to set different intervals for each alert instead of using the esclating alert as a semi-workaround. PA also has a hard time recognizing that I have read an sms. I find myself having to manually clear the alert.

Almost there With so many e-mail and sms clients out there, the widget should just allow you to pick any app to open from the shortcut.

Works on Verizon Nexus Droid 4.0 Been a long time PhoneAlarm user. Glad to see it's here for Android. Just picked up the new Samsung Nexus with Droid 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwitch) and it appears to work just fine. Just using the free version for now to test it, but so far, all alarms are coming through. Only annoyance is the Phone Alarm doesn't overwrite my system alarms. So Basically when I get a text, it notifies me twice. Once for my System notification, and once for my PhoneAlarm notification. I'll play with the settings and see if I can turn off system notifications.
