Absolutely Brilliant. Bit tricky to set up but there's lots of help & advise on the QNAP Wiki, I even felt the need to contribute myself once I'd got it set. This will obviously only appeal to QNAP NAS users but if, as I do, you stream music & video to lap/netbooks wherever you are this is essential to have on your phone. The really great thing is that I can upload photos taken by the phone to my NAS. Everything's safe then. Also I don't need to use up lots on SD storage with music, I have access to all of my collection anywhere.

Excellent This works very well on my Galaxy Nexus after realizing that the user accounts are different and creating a non admin account for using it.

Great application For those with issues, it likely is a result of your router configuration with the firewall or the speed of your internet. Once I got my qnap set up, it was amazing to stream my music on my phone or at work via a web browser. All of a sudden, a few months before I got my qnap for a network backup system, my Archos media player died leaving me with no portable music. The Qnap filled that void on my android.

Works with tweaks I think a lot of folk are having trouble because they are not using port 80 for their webserver. If you are not using the default port 80 for your web server then you need to specify the port in the mobile app. So if you use 8081 for HTTP and 8082 for SSL then you specify the port after the IP in the Host/IP setting field. Example=192.168.1.100:8081 [or whatever your IP]. Don't forget to forward your ports if you want public access [Over your 4G connection or outside your home network.] I could only connect to the SSL port over my 4G, for some reason. However, when my mobile is on my wireless at home both ports work [I must still specify in the IP setting though]. Audio plays the best. Most of my videos won't play. It's great for uploading your mobile photos. Hopes this helps. ++Motorola Atrix
