Description
Dantes Inferno follows the 14th century poem the 'Divine Comedy'. You can walk through scenes depicted in the poem using an etching style similar to the 19th century artist Gustave Dore. At different points in the journey you can view a corresponding etching by Dore with a brief explanation. Also snippets of the poem are displayed at corresponding scenes. Currently this app reaches the middle ring of the seventh circle of Hell, 'Suicide'. It now also includes the prelude to the inner ring, 'Sodomy'. You can purchase the full version and make your way through the inner ring. If the app is well liked I'll add the extra circles of hell until the app reaches Satan himself. If I get lots of goofy comments I'll leave it.Note that this is a not a first person shooter and is more like a run through.
To move forward press the up button on your DPAD (center button if you have one) or fling forward if you have a touch screen. You can also use the arrows top left of the screen to move. Turn by dragging on touch screen or using left and right on your DPAD.

A shame Great idea in principle potentially a 5 star but it doesn't work! on beginning there is no poetry script and on meeting the lion I can't move!....uninstalled....its a shame because immediately the atmosphere feels super...

Good hearted attempt to bring some culture to modern life The author could benefit from the services of even a student of game building, but this is a great idea overall. The idea of bringing the story of Dante to life ina graphical way is something I can really get into. I have always been interested in the story, but never been able to get through reading the poetry. We want more circles!
