DS audio allows you to browse your DiskStation’s music library while playing it in the background, as well as displaying the lyrics of the song being played. You can also control music playback on connected speakers in a simple and convenient way.
With DS audio on Android Phones and Tablets, you can do the following:
-Play music stored on your DiskStation on-the-go
-Browse songs by albums, artists, folders, genres or playlist
-Create playing queues or simply select 100 songs to play randomly

Great but some constructive feedback... Please add a search facility and buffer the next track before the current one ends. Otherwise, love this app, and Synology in general. Can set up a playlist and click play before I drive on a long journey. Means I can listen to any of my music and not worry about storage. :-)

No longer supports my Android device The new version of the App no longer supports my Android tablet. The old version did. How's this an improvement exactly? Now I can't use my tablet to browse my Diskstation using this App. Wish I hadn't upgraded my diskstation firmware now.

Could do better. No landscape, you have to press menu then play all tracks to play an album and no queuing up the next track so you can have a big gap between tracks if your steaming on 3g.

Badly needs HTTPS Works just fine but there is absolutely no excuse for transmitting passwords in plain text in today's security environment. 5 stars otherwise.

Sweet App for private server Pretty cool app. Nice to be able to stream from my Synology. SSL would be welcome. I had to forward port 5000 to get this working.

Still not improved Works occasionally on wifi but is totally unusable on a 1MB 3G connection. Crashes a lot. No ssl support. DS411J and samsung galaxy s. Latest version crap.

Needs SSL Considering that the iOS app has had https support for awhile, this is really inexcusable. I have been recommending Synology products to everyone, considering their flexibility and performance, and have praised the software. But the fact that they treat security this way is not appropriate. The same is true for the new Cloud Station service. It should be SSL from the beginning, but it's plaintext.
