discover known accounts
Allows an application to get the list of accounts known by the phone.

prevent phone from sleeping
Allows an application to prevent the phone from going to sleep.
automatically start at boot
Allows an application to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the phone and allow the application to slow down overall performance of the phone by constantly running.
allow Wi-Fi Multicast reception
Allows an application to receive packets not directly addressed to your device. This can be useful when discovering services offered nearby. It uses more power than the non-multicast mode.

Ok Needs better documentation and after corrupting calendar and duplicating contacts got it figured out. Use the barcode scanner to sync. Seems to fix any sync issues.

Works but needs more helpful instruct. May-2012: Updated to 4 stars. This app is getting better! Updated: After several hours, I was able to get the application to work. (It involved restarting adb.exe and some dumb luck.) I was able to obtain support from the developer for remaining problems. (Hint: developers e-mail address isn't visible from your PC; look from your android device.)

excellent Just use it to sync Outlook Tasks and Notes - it's smooth and works! Tasks has a straight-up, logical interface - tried many others (no, don't want to share my tasks with others, don't want to see a minute by minute edit log, no don't want to sign up to yet another service-- and google tasks just does not cut it). One can control what syncs (eg not contacts or calendar, just tasks and categories). Sync by usb or wifi. App required on PC to sync - read developer's instructions - straight forward. No ads.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! This has to be the worst app I have installed on my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tab. I downloaded Local Sync for the simple purpose of synchronising my PCs Outlook calendar and contacts with Calendar on my tab. Instead of performing this simple task (which even the useless Samsung Kies application can do when it eventually manages to connect to my tab), Local Sync triplicated all my contacts, then copied all my calendar events from my PC to my tab, then proceded to delete every single calendar entry from my PC and now won't copy them back again. When I emailed support I was told to RTFM and send them a log file, which they claimed didn't show anything wrong. Worse than useless, this app is dangerous - don't install. If I could give it a minus star rating I would.

Toshiba Thrive Sync Sync'd with Thrive after connecting USB to computer from tablet. Can now stream videos and pics from computer to my tablet.

crap This app has no concept of syncing with a tablet. I have a Toshiba Thrive and there is no way in heaven or earth this POS will connect with my tablet. "UR FIRED"

Best Sync for non exchange Outlook ... Period Love ... love ... love this app. I use it religiously. If you are looking for an easy way to sync right to your PC Outlook ... stop your search. The only suggestion is to add a side to side swipe gesture feature to scroll through categories of tasks or notes. The filter option is nice ... but it requires typing. I use the GTD model of tasks, so being able to quickly scroll through errands, things to do online, things to do at home etc., would provide any easy way to view my batch tasks without typing. Should you the developer take care of this ... this app would be pure perfection.

Great app Excellent app love it The developer was very helpful to assist me it, I paid for another app but I'm using this one now because its way better.
