Description
This app can flash a kernel within android on Samsung Galaxy S phones, e.g.: i9000, Captivate, Fascinate, and Vibrant.This application *requires* root.
Features:
* backup kernel image as update.zip (for recovery)
* flash kernel from zImage, any .tar or .zip that contains a zImage
* reboot
Attention:
The cyanogenmod 7 (cm7) is not yet supported - you will get noticed about that by the app.
backup kernel: creates an update.zip (for recovery) containing a backup of the current kernel with time and date in /sdcard/sgs-kernel-flasher/backup/
choose kernel: choose kernel image (mostly named zImage) or any .tar or .zip that contains a zImage
flash kernel: flashes the kernel
reboot: reboot the phone

Great App Does exactly what it should, and does it well. Helped me breath new life into a Captivate.

Nice app Worked great for me. Running a sgh i897 att Captivate. People need to do research before they use an app like this!! I have flashed several kernels using this The only problem I have had is from me using an incompatible kernel. And captivate phones are almost unbrickable!!

Please bring ICS support! I love this app and always used it to quickly and easily backup and flash my kernels. I miss using this app as I am running an ICS based ROM, and there is currently no support.

Wow! This apk is for real. Flashed a beta j6 gingerbread kernel with voodoo lag and cwm 5.0 worked perfect. Simply amazing developer. Galaxy s 4g
