Description
Pure news widget is a scrollable widget for Google Reader news reading (Rss).Note : after Google service ends (July), Pure news widget will sync with Feedly service.
WARNING:
This is a scrollable widget which REQUIRE Android 3.x/4.x device or ADW Launcher, Launcher Pro, LiveHome, Go Launcher Ex. If you don't use a Launcher supporting scrollable widgets, it won't work.
Features:
- Use phone credentials to login to Google Reader. No password (for Android > 2.0).
- Connected to Google reader to retrieve your prefered news
- Scrollable widget with most alternative launchers like ADW, LiveHome, Go Launcher, LauncherPro or Android 3.x/4.x
- Click on a news title to open the full story in the browser or in internal viewer (works in offline mode too !)
- Show news thumbnails
- Multiples skins (including fully transparent) and widgets sizes to make a fancy widget
- Lot of options to customize rendering
- Can use Google Mobilizer to reduce used bandwidth when reading full article
- Support Google Reader mark as read
- Optional local cache of articles
- Can restrict sync to Wifi connection
- Support multi-widget with as many feeds as you want
- Complete support of Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS / Android 4.x)

Best reader! Awesome app - and very helpful developer - prompt assistance with one of his other apps even though it was a fault with my device - cool guy!

Awesome news widget! Needs another aggregator now tho!! DUDE! This is the best RSS widget. Period. Now WTF are we gonna do since Google is killing Reader in July?!? Francois, I'm sure there is another RSS service that can be made to work? I'm a fan of your development, and hope I can continue to use Pure News Widget to keep up to date on my feeds...

Can't get a refund Tried the app a few days ago and ended up getting a refund because I couldn't choose what to open stories (for example, google reader) and because the widget hung badly on refresh. Tried tonight, thinking it was a different widget (tried a lot over past few days) and it wouldn't let me have a refund. In addition, now discovered the first feed in the widget never loads properly and the whole thing stutters a lot. Afraid I just can't recommend.

Best one! This is the best widget I can find for a news ticker. I've tried a few others. This one was worth the money.

Battery drainer Loved it but every couple of days it would lock up and cause my battery to drain in about 5 hours. Overnight it used 67% of processor for no reason!

Loading data.... ad infinitum Never refreshes. Just says "loading data" and never does anything else. Not impressed

Best rss widget by far Best rss widget in terms of image/text viewing and looks. Customizable, themes look great and developer support is fast and responsive.

Best scrollable RSS reader out there. Dev is very responsive and updates frequently.
