Description
Dual N-Back has been shown to improve working memory and fluid intelligence, which is crucial for academic and professional success. This is a simple clone of Brain Workshop http://brainworkshop.sourceforge.net/ , supporting arbitrary combinations of (position, sound, color, image).
If you rate me less than 5 stars, consider leaving a comment. I've always tried to improve the app according to users' comments ^^
My message about the "auto advancement":
* It's not a convenient "feature" I invent. It's the standard game rule.
* Once you've passed 2-Back, you are ready for 3-Back. You may think you want more practice in order to 'master' it before moving on. The problem is the game only benefits when you have not 'conceptualized' things, using sheer intuition without any strategy. For more information, check this out http://goo.gl/V2vD8 . So, beginners should not even try to get familiar with Dual-2-Back by practicing Sound and Position separately :)

Ideea to make full use of piano feature I want to play "sound" using piano. But I do not distinguish musical note. It would be a great feature to have option to display musical sign when sound is played. This can help player to make progress after learn to distinguish musical notes played.

Good so far, needs better feedback Good so far, enjoying trying it out to see how it feels! Harder than I thought it would be (or I'm dumber than I thought I was...) The feedback you get when you complete a trial isn't very clear. A:5-2 L:4-5 takes some deciphering. Also, the indication that you've gotten bumped up or down a level needs to be more prominent, since it totally changes the game you're playing. Not seeing the toast or the title of the dialog means 0% on the next round.

Works great Very much like the desktop version I've used on my Linux box for a year or more. It's easy to use but doing it diligently feels like a serious workout for the brain!

3 stars because it's free Pros: ------------------------ 1. It's the only free game dedicated to to n-back 2. you can play a BIG variety of n-back games. One set of options lets you choose: Dual back, Tri back, Quad back. Work on memory based on shapes, positioning, color, and sounds (see cons). You can combine any of these together as well. Select them all if you want :) Cons: ------------------------ 1. If you need to work on your auditory memory (like me), this feature isn't very good. The piano sounds are indistinguishable form one another. There should be electric piano and a variety. The other audio option is the alphabet. If you already have a good auditory memory, then this is probably a good option. But when I hear the letter "L" for example, I see a picture of the letter "L" in my head (which I can't control). Using this feature combined with any visual exercises will not work for me. 2. Figuring out how the game options work is a memory game in of itself. Options not available should be dimmed out. 3. Visually unappealing. A game that is working to improve visual memory doesn't need to look so bland. Add bevels like you did with this apps icon.

Long term, brilliant: best available Would like a way of monitoring progress on 20 sessions a day. Solid and pleasant. HTC Wildfire.

Button signals NOTE FOR UPDATE: When you miss a sound or position, the button for either or should light up blue to indicate a miss. Just like Brain Workshop. That would be really cool! Awesome work!
