Description
Note that this app is for ARMv7 processor (Nexus One uses this processor) only for this beta release. Future release may support more types of processors. You can use the app "Know CPU for RockPlayer" to get your CPU type.
This app is at very early stage, it might not be so convenient to use, but it shows the idea how the powerful FFMPEG utility can be used at Android platform.
It brings the FFMPEG command line to Android, which allows you to do transcoding, resizing, encapsulation and a lot of other stuff.
Please send me feedback, so that I know how to improve it. :) Thanks!

Awesome I am impressed ! Just gave it a go on my Droid3 (XT862) and it worked a treat. I changed video size to 1280x720 or whichever way around and it dropped my 1080x1080 down nicely from 32MB (screw you viber limitations) to 4.6MB. Much impressed thanks a bunch, will be keeping an eye on progress and more than willing to lend a hand :)

No GUI but functionally sound Very handy to shrink down massive HD video to something you can mail. Very good. If I could I'd write a GUI for it.

Clever app but needs some added functionality. Command line is a pain in the ar*e. Needs a GUI with a file browser and drop down selectors for each detected codec/resolution/framerate. Would also be nice if came with mp3lame built in to encode true xvids. Other than that works well (if slowly even on 1.6Ghz O/C'd Desire HD) Some speed optimization would be good.

3rd party usage? It would be great if we could call ffmpeg from our own app via intents.
