If you're yet to experiment with Minecraft seeds, now is the time! Generate custom worlds by using the codes below.

I've also provided a little description of what you can expect from each one.

10- 13377331: Mostly mountains, valleys and lakes, with zombies.
9- Mojang: Possibility of finding 5-10 diamonds (if you're lucky).
8- iliketomoveit: Four grand waterfalls, a lava fall and caves.
7- minecraftisawesome: Mountainous with a cool floating island in the sky.
6- xperiaplay: Huge ice bays and lots of snow
5- Flat world: Mostly water and some flat islands.
4- 21chicken: Enormous mountains, caves and floating boxes. Pretty awesome.
3- Flattering: Almost entirely ice.
2- Adam9812IsEpic: largely flat, grassy seed. It has a lot of biome variation.
1- nyan: Probably the most popular Minecraft generation seed, contains lava, rivers, lakes, large plains, small snow hills, gravel beaches, a harbor, small rolling hills, and overhangs, and land bridges.

Has anybody tried any of these yet? :)

That's out of my control I'm afraid, Michelle Alt. Ask the guys at Mojang. Or Tweet @notch, he's like a zillionaire now anyway.

Scott, how exactly does one use the codes to generate custom worlds?

My grand children play minecraft continuously and are not aware of this possibility. I don't play it so need your tutoring to show them how to access these worlds.

Thanks

Hey David, no problem at all! Here's how:

  • When you first open the App, at the main menu tap "play". On the following screen, where you are prompted to select a world, you tap "new".

  • Tap the "seed" box and type in one of the codes above. Hit "done".

  • Give your World a funky name if you wish, then tap "Generate World".

And that's it, you will start the game in one of the above worlds.

So it should go like this:

play > new > seed > enter code (e.g. "Adam9812IsEpic" ) > done > generate world.

Let me know if this works for you. If it doesn't, post again in here and I'll try to help out :D
