When I try to write to the external SD card on my new Simbans Presto tablet it asks for access to the SD card root. See attached screenshot, which I do not understand.
Nothing I try makes any difference. This happens with every File Manager app I have tried. Anyone know how to fix this?

Perhaps you need to grant permissions, 'modify or delete the contents of your SD card' and 'read the contents of your SD card', to your those File Manager apps.

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.
The minimalist app available on Play Store: https://goo.gl/ws42fN

I've tried to do that, James, but always come up up against the 'Screen overlay detected' bug.

I'm busy trying fix suggestions for that I found on AndroidPit. No luck yet, but I'll keep trying.

Perhaps you need to update the firmware online.
