Hello guys on androidpit! I'm new here and i already like the community so i hope you can help me out. I already asked the same thing on another forum but then i seen that the forum where i previously asked is dead so i thought let's not waste any time and go to a better forum so here i am!

I hope you can help me with my problem.
My problem is the following thing:

I was having some problems with my play store so i wanted to reinstall it.
So uninstalled Google Play Store with root but the problem is that i couldn't install it again.
(And i only make backups of my boot partition because i don't have so much space to backup data in twrp.)

When i try to install play store again with the latest apk of it then it just crashes. I also tried installing it as system by moving it to /system/app with the correct permissions but still not working. And i also tried it on /system/priv-app but it just disappears there.

I found out that if i use a old version of the play store (9.8.07) then it doesn't crash right away. But i still cannot use it properly. It crashes when trying to install something.
I also found out that if i try to uninstall something with this old version then it doesn't crash right away but it says "uninstalling" forever.
So i think it may be that play store didn't get the permissions that it needs?

I tried so many things but i just don't know how i can fix it. I don't want to do a factory reset or something like that.
Please help me. I just want my good old play store back.

I can't even use YouTube. It doesn't allow me to use it without play store. This is much worse than I thought it would be.

And please a solution where i don't need to factory reset my phone.

(SM-N920C, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Nougat 7.0 Stock Rom, Rooted with Magisk, Xposed is installed, TWRP is installed)

Go on the internet, find the latest version of play store and install.
If that don't work then I'm afraid that a factory reset is your only option.

P.S.
I disabled play store in my phone and it didn't affect you tube at all?
However when I tried to enable play store it would not turn back on!
So I access play store through the internet! I just don't get any of my apps updated!

I tried installing the latest version of play store but it crashes right away when trying to open it.
And because of youtube.. i don't know why but it just started working now. When i tried it before it said "Play store must be installed" or something like that..
I cannot use my paid apps which is a huge problem for me because they require play store for the verification.

And i really don't want to make a factory reset because i done so many awesome modifications to my phone already. Please any other solution? I'm thankful for every solution.

I noticed you have a galaxy note 5.
By Google's standards that's a older model device!
There are a couple of possibilities hear.
Google is constantly updating play store. And the new version may be incapable for your device.
Or Google has stopped supporting your device because of it's age.
My best suggestion is to call Samsung or google customer service and inquire about this.
You may want to make that call from a different phone so they can run a system check of your note 5.

Maybe your right.
Samsung may not want to help you after rooting. But it couldn't hurt to try!
When you rooted did you back up your apps on a different hard drive?
If yes, you could go to the back up and reinstall the original play store.
Otherwise I don't think your have any other choice but to do a factory reset .

I would like to call samsung but i'm not 18 so i better not try..
Normally i don't backup all my apps because aren't they online saved? Like when you reinstall you'r phone you just open play store and all apps will reinstall?
This can't be impossible.. there needs to be a way around this! I heard something of gapps can't i just flash it and google play store is back? I mean.. i still have google services and all these things.

If you had just disabled play store this would be A easy fix. When you rooted,
You removed the app completely from your hard drive. And if you didn't back them up on in a file on a different computer you have no way to reinstall them!
What other apps did you delete when you rooted? If any of them were systems apps, you may have done serious damage to the Android operating system in your phone.
And not even a factory reset will bring them back!
You have no other choice but to call Samsung customer support and hope they will help you!
The only other suggestions I have is to,
Use the phone as is.
Or hope you get a new one for Christmas.
Or buy a new phone yourself!

Never ever do a re-root without backing up your apps on a different computer.
And never root any of your systems operating apps.

I don't know if your age is going to be a factor!
But in my opinion you have no other choice!
