Hi. I’m relatively new to my Huawei Mate SE and still trying to learn the ropes. Lately it seems that, more often than not, my attempts to download JPEG and GIF files through my phone's web browser are ending in failure.

Of course, I don’t yet understand the reason, but I got the idea that perhaps a bloated Cache might be to blame. I checked my Cache status, and indeed, it contains 667 MB. So I figured I’d clear it.

Only problem is… how do I clear the Cache on a Huawei Mate SE smartphone? The capability to do so doesn’t seem it be buried in any of the menus anywhere. And the few suggestions that I’ve managed to find thus far online (for other models of Huawei phones) have yet to be successful, either.

Open to all thoughts, advice, and suggestions…

Thanks!

Do you use the stock web browser app? To clear your web browser cache?

Open your browser,
tap the three-points buttons in the bottom-right corner to pull up the menu,
tap Settings,
tap Clear History,
then clear all.

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.
The minimalist app available on Play Store: https://goo.gl/ws42fN

Thanks! That sounds like it should work, so I’ll give it a try the next chance I get.

One followup question, that I hope you might also be able to help with…

How do I get any of these downloads off the phone and onto my desktop computer? It doesn’t seem to be quite as simple as connecting the two via USB. …Unless there’s some hidden folder containing those 500+ downloads, none of the folders I do see look like it's the one I'm looking for!
