Samsung Rolls Out OTA Update For The Galaxy S3

Eric McBride

Samsung Galaxy S3 owners are receiving a 31.17MB OTA update that began rolling out this morning, which, according to Samsung, is meant to provide “improved stability”. The changelog for the update is very short, and although the Galaxy S3 we have at the office is running error free, it’s good to see Samsung doing their best to keep the device as snappy as possible.

The odd thing is that there isn’t only 1 download, but 2. After finishing the first download/update to the device, another 15.57MB update pops up after rebooting the device, which should bring you to build number “l9300BUALF1.DM" (I’m guessing that could vary according to region).

If you don’t wish to wait for the update prompt, simply go to settings - “About Device” - “Software Update”, and check manually for the update.

Let us know if you see any changes or improvements (or vice versa) after receiving the update in the comments below or in our Galaxy S3 forums.
