CellPhoneSignal released new official pictures of the T-Mobile G2, which are also on T-Mobile's site, which strengthen several rumors on the G2's features.  In addition, T-Mobile announced that they have expanded their HSPA+ network to several new markets, with coverage now extending to 55 major metorpolitan areas.

Samsung's success with the Galaxy S family of phones in Korea has been well publicized, but we hadn't heard much about the success in the U.S. until yesterday. According to a press release by Samsung Mobile, one million Galaxy S devices have been shipped in the U.S. AndroidGuys comments that Samsung's "print, online, and television ad campaign is paying off!"

The Dell Streak seems to becoming rather popular lately. Engadget scored another exclusive yesterday, as they posted up a hands-on review of the two Dell Thunder handsets they received from an undisclosed source. The two handsets differed in terms of the internal hardware, featuring different Android OS verisons, different supported rado bands, display resolutions, and one of them was lacking the back cover.

Mobiles.co.uk began listing two new Android devices recently that you may have heard about. The website has entries for both the HTC Desire HD and the HTC Desire Z. We covered the HTC Desire HD here, and the HTC Desire Z is believed by many to be the European version of the G2 that was just announced. The specs align with what we have already heard about both phones, with a few new details.

Remember when T-Mobile launched the teaser website for their first HSPA+ handset back in late July? Today, T-Mobile updated the website, revealing that the handset will be the G2, as previously thought. The handset's appearance, launch date, and hardware specs are still unconfirmed, but that doesn't stop people from making educated guesses.

According to BoyGeniusReport, T-Mobile USA will be launching a new Android device from Motorola in November, called the Motorola Jordan, which will be ruggedized and feature some level of waterproofing. Sprint/Boost Mobile launched the Motorola i1, a ruggedized Android handset, not so long ago, and this seems to be a move by T-Mobile to capture consumers interested in a smartphone, but who have an active outdoors lifestlye.

Phandroid received a tip from a trusted T-Mobile informant yesterday about what exactly T-Mobile's Project Emerald actually is. There have been plenty of guesses floating around, but this seems to be a halfway decent possibility of what T-Mobile has in store for us with Project Emerald. Phandroid writes that Project Emerald will be not one handset, but two. What's more, the HTC Vision/Vanguard/G1 Blaze and the HTC Desire HD will be the two handsets, launched a week apart.

According to BoyGeniusReport, T-Mobile's Q2 figures indicate that T-Mobile has increased their revenue, but has lost 93,000 subscribers, which is an increase of 16,000 from the 77,000 customers lost last quarter. In better news, T-Mobile has experienced an increase revenues from 3G data plans likely due to interest in 3G enabled devices.

AlienBabelTech uncovered some benchmarking results for an as of now unannounced HTC handset called the HTC Glacier. The handset scored very high in the benchmarking tests and while there are no specific details about the device other than the name and the score it got, some research and educated guesses point to the Glacier being T-Mobile USA's Project Emerald device.
