Plane Finder tracks 12,000+ flights around the world using our own network of real time receivers and some traditional radar data. Our worldwide coverage is already fantastic and always expanding - please check www.planefinder.net to see live coverage in your area.
At a glance our coverage includes -
- Europe 95% - realtime
- North America - 100% via slightly US delayed data - Nationwide realtime ADS-B network in place and capturing 95% of ADS-B equipped aircraft
- Rest of World - Excellent coverage in Australia, New Zealand, Central America, Brazil, Japan, Taiwan, Dubai, India, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Maldives, Mauritius, Singapore, Hong Kong and many more countries
Important Note:
Plane Finder works by picking up real time ADS‐B signals used by aircraft to transmit positional data to land based receivers. This technology is faster than traditional radar and is used for air traffic control and navigation. ADS‐B is not used by all airlines or aircraft, however this is changing and the number of aircraft tracked by ADS‐B is increasing all of the time. Traditional radar type data in near real time is also included for North America; this is subject to a short time delay.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Love the app! But why AGAIN is the Android version so much more basic than iphone! About time developers treated Android at the same level as they do iPhone users!

Avoid this one... Buggy sums it up well.... Once I've clicked on a plane, there it no way to actually click off all the planes, yes I can click on another plane and that will click off the first plane selected, but there is now way to actually click off all the planes for example clicking on a blank area of the screen. Once a plane has been selected and the trail is on the screen, the app then runs very slowly, moving the map around becomes at best jumpy rather than the smooth scrolling it had before. Another bug is if the 3G network is having one of it's bad moments in this area the app seems unable to cope with this. It will scroll between "Need active internet connection & Error getting planes, trying again" which is all well and good, the problem is it will carry on and on and on doing this! It will even carry on doing this when it does get data and loads the planes! The only way to stop these messages coming up once the app gets locked into this loop is to go into the applications manager and force stop the program!!! There are many other problems with this app but I don't have the room left to list them here, this app could be good, but appears to have been abandoned buy the developer

Disappointing My friend with an iPhone encouraged me to buy this app. Unfortunately like what another reviewer mentioned, they only care about Apple users. The quality of this app is nowhere near that of the Apple version.

Few bugs on galaxy ace, still great Works well, however when looking at detailed info the pics load so huge that you can't read the writing (pics aren't scrollable). No helicopter images but data is accurate.
