Description
************************************************************ THIS IS NOT AN APP, ITS A WIDGET. Please long click a
** free spot on your home screen to add it
**********************************************************
Please note: the latest update turns this free widget into a time limited demo. Please upgrade to the full version of this widget.
This is a simple widget that searches for and shows weather from the nearest available Weather Display compatible weather station using your devices location, or you can choose a weather station from a (growing) list.
*********************************
There is a paid version of this widget which costs about the same as a can of Coke. Please consider supporting the development of this widget by purchasing the full version, which allows you to change the units and set the update frequency.
*********************************
You can also configure the widget to point it to your own (or someone else's) weather station if you know the URL to the clientraw.txt file that the Weather Display software provides.
The database of weather stations it uses is based on the ones found here: http://www.weather-watch.com/links/Weather-Stations/
In the paid version, update frequency is configurable to 2, 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes. Or you can turn the scheduled update off. The paid version version also lets you set an option to show the current temperature in the Android notification bar.
Underneath the 'weather description' line, the widget shows a series of up to 5 weather measurements (rain today, average windspeed in last 10 minutes, humidity, pressure and dew point temperature). These can be individually turned on or off.
In the Paid version, temperature units are configurable to Celsius, Fahrenheit or Kelvin. Wind units can be knots, mph, kph, m/s. Humidity is displayed as a percentage figure. Pressure can be displayed in inches or millibars. Rain Units are configurable to mm or inches. The paid for version also has the option to show daily min/max temperature.
The widget also shows a wind direction indicator (a white arrow) which points in the direction the wind is going. The arrow gets thicker if windspeed increases.
A red up arrow is shown to the right of the temperature reading if the temperature is going up (in the last hour), or a blue down arrow is shown if it's going down.
Please email me at solarautumnit@gmail.com if you have any ideas for improving this widget. Please also let me know if you want to help with the language translations for your country!

Too complicated. Plus, the large widget is very small.

Needs work. Large version is still very small on a average smart phone. Demo very short. 3 days? Come on guys... Graphics lacking to say the least. Good idea buts needs a lot of development before its worth paying for.

Awsome App Before leaving negative feed back you need to understand what this app is used for! It is for personal weather station if you don't own one and run weather display software this will not work for you, unless your happy with a location included with the software. All the locations listed in this software are provided from owners of weather websites providing the developer with the location of the data file for that particular station. If you don't understand then don't rate because this is the best widget out there of it's kind make note I said OF IT'S KIND which means if you don't understand it then don't rate it. The developer should not suffer here because most people here have no idea what this program does.

Would be nice if it could default to the unit of measure of the country you are in even if its a free version. Totally useless to those in usa

Nothing like knowing if you going to have a dry night. Seriously though, a good app and very handy to connect to my weather station.
