Help Please!

I am having trouble installing app centre to my HT magic! :-(
I can download it, but when it comes to installing I get a box that says "Application not installed" App Center could not be installed on this phone.

Is there a way around this? Help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Shona,

did you allow "unknown sources" on your device?
I would try the following. Go to Settings/ Applications on your phone and check "unknown sources" to be activated.
Afterwards use your mobile browser and go to https://www.nextpit.com and try installing the App Center again.
Let me know if it has worked.

Hi Philipp,
Yes I did allow unknown but I've been informed that my firmware being 1.5 could be the problem.. DOH!!

I think you should call up your cellular provider and ask them if an Android OS update for your phone is coming. I would hope so, but I can't be 100% sure.

I just did a look in Wikipedia, and it says that the Magic shipped with Android 1.6, so I'm more than a tad confused as to how your phone has Android 1.5...
