HTC Sensation — WiFi problems

With my laptop, I am able to pick up signal from my bedroom with the WiFi router in the kitchen. Now with the Sensation I get intermittent reception everywhere, and sometimes the WiFi signal meter will appear and only show one bar. All the places that work with my laptop don't seem to work with my Sensation.

Seems a bit weird. Has anyone else noticed poor WiFi coverage with their Sensation?

I dont have one myself but Ive heard about people having "Death grip" issues with Sensations. They recomened not using it in landscape mode when you are using Wifi and not covering so much of the phone with your hand to reduce death grip. Sounds like a problem everyone is having even the iPhone folks.
