Hi all,
I have a fantastic contract role based in West Yorkshire that I am currently recruiting for, and would really appreciate your help in finding someone suitable.
The client I work with builds mixing decks with touch screen user controls that have traditionally run on Linux/Java Swing. However, they are now looking to use the Android OS and so require an Android Architect / Developer to join them on a 3-6 month contract. The contract will be paying up to £600 a day, depending on experience.
The Android Developer / Architect will be responsible for stripping down the Android OS so that the platform is set up for a non-mobile device. They will also be responsible for the performance testing of responsiveness and graphic rendering on two touch screens, as well as developing a suit of Android OS components that can be used to control the audio functions of the mixing deck.
Requirements
I am looking for an Android Developer / Architect who has a solid proven track record in Software Engineering in any language (C++, Java, C#, PHP).
I would also like the person to have either at least 1 project where they have needed to modify and adapt the Android OS for a non mobile device, or extensive Android experience.
Our client is not looking for an Android App’s developer but someone who has worked on Tablet PC’s, Kiosks, or other non-mobile applications that have run the Android Operating System in the background.
And finally...
Our client is an industry heavy weight and builds applications around Sound Engineering. The role would therefore be great for an Android Developer/Architect who has a passion for music, plays an instrument or was/is in a band as the Android specialist will be at the forefront of music and sound engineering.
