Hi Everyone,

Many of us know what a pain it is having to submit our Android apps to multiple app stores so I will save many of you the time and effort

We recently launched a couple of free apps across a number of Android portals and then done a blog post covering the actual download figures for one of the apps across a number of portals.

Take a read at http://www.drmop.com/?p=32, actual download figures are included as well as an update to the figures today

Hope this little blog post saves some of you the time we have wasted :)

Would also be useful to see if others are experiencing similar trends

Mat

Interesting blog... why is it that Appia performed so well? And did you see a substantial increase in your paid version when people got a chance to try the free version?

We are assuming that we are getting such a large download count on Appia because they have a fair number of distribution outlets. The problem with Appia is that they dont have 100% carrier billing integration so paid apps wont do as well.

With regards to sales, our FREE ad supported versions actually killed our paid versions just about everywhere, as soon as we released our paid sales dropped to 0, although they were bad to begin with (only a few sales per day)

Hey, thanks for the post. I never would have expected so many sales from Appia. Can you speak to what made Appia so successful?

We are not sure at the moment, we have asked to see how these download figures break down across store fronts but no answer as of yet
