I have a Desire S (couldn't find a board for Desire S so hoping the Z is similar) and am having trouble synching to my PC and Outlook.
I can charge my battery and drag and drop files fine by connecting to my PC with my phone, so the cable is working and my computer does see my phone then.
But if I choose the calendar synch option the computer makes a sound indicating that my phone is signalling the computer but after a few seconds it comes up with a message that says:
Unable to find HTC Sync on your PC. Please make sure that HTC Sync is installed, etc, etc.
HTC Sync is installed on my computer so I have no idea why it's telling me that. I've tried having the software open at the time to help it, but no, it still can't find it and tells me I need to go to the website to install it. The installation I have is fresh, I have a new computer and I've done a factory reset on my phone in case it was trying to find my old computer. Still no go.
Any suggestions please?
