tablet pc android 4.0 - root help

hi I was wondering if anyone can help me I bought my mid chineese android 4.0 tablet pc online and after a few days I noticed I couldn't get onto google store or gmail and as most good apps are on the play store it is starting to annoy me now as I can only get things from android pit but I got told that if I root my tablet it can fix this problem but as I'm not good at computer stuff I was hoping someone knows an easy android root download that can fix my tablet .also when I try to get a game online this thing--- -media.android.media process stopped working---- keeps appearing on my screen PLEASE HELP ME
