Newly arrived in the Google Play Store,
for friends of the art of painting, and those who want to be there:
Art Gallery: Discover Artworks
The Art Gallery contains nearly 300 paintings by famous artists, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Sandro Botticelli, Vincent van Gogh, Casper David Friedrich, Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt and many more.
For each masterpiece interesting details are given. A link leads to the corresponding article in Wikipedia.
All images are loaded from the media library Wikimedia Commons. A (fast) internet connection is required.
Using the integrated quiz let you deepen the knowledge about artists and their paintings.
The Art Gallery does not replace a visit to a museum of art but maybe it awakens the interest in it.
